Mangetti National Park

The Mangetti National Park was proclaimed in 2008 only and is one of the smallest in the country (420 km²)..

Mangetti , categorized by IUCN in category II, was a breeding area for rare game species. It is currently the only National Park in Namibia that is run by the Government and local communities. It is home to Elephants, Eland, Leopard and Lion as well as the rare Wild Dog.

How to get here

From South and North: Mangetti lies directly east of the B8 National Road just north of the Veterinary Gate at Mururani.

Accommodation
There are no overnight facilities in the National Park and it is thus only open from sunrise to sunset.A very limited number of private accommodation establishments exist in the vicinity.
