NAC loses N$125m in lockdown

THE Namibian Airports Company lost an estimated N$125 million in the past three months because of the coronavirus induced lockdown.

This estimated loss represents more that a fifth of the company’s total annual revenue of N$500 million.

Chief executive officer of the state owned airport management company Bisey /Uirab on Monday said since the Covid-19 induced no-fly zone that kept out international airlines, the company’s revenue generation had been significantly dented and the company will take sometime to recover.
