Nam tourism steadily recovering

Namibia’s tourism industry, bleeding from N$20 billion (approximately US$1,3 billion) losses incurred during the new coronavirus-induced economic decline, is slowly but surely finding its feet as people resume traveling to the country’s prime destinations, particularly coastal areas and the flagship Etosha National Park.

Namibia’s Minister of Environment and Tourism Pohamba Shifeta this week said while the government was happy with increased activity related to Etosha, more still needed to be done by way of marketing Namibia’s tourism facilities.
